Asian University - Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering Department is part of Asian University's Faculty of Engineering. We are a relatively new, but rapidly developing and enthusiastic department. The ME Department offers an exciting and stimulating course that is both challenging and relevant to today's job market. We have a core of highly-qualified, experienced and friendly teaching staff. Class sizes are relatively small, meaning that students are able to have a high degree of interaction with their lecturers. If you would like to study Mechanical Engineering in a pleasant, sympathetic and academically-sound environment, then the ME Department at Asian University is the place to come! Thailand Needs More Qualified Engineers

There is a serious shortage in the number of qualified engineers in Thailand. According to the World Bank, the shortfall in the number of skilled technical personnel costs Thai manufacturing firms, on average, 15% of their potential sales. The lack of English skills is also an issue. Asian University is doing its bit to try and redress these problems by producing high-calibre engineering graduates. It is also offering exciting possibilities for potential engineers, including mechanical engineers, with the introduction of half-fee scholarships now available to new applicants.
